About Steve

Steve Wienert began framing in 1972 in Baltimore and has worked in many framing businesses there and in New York and New England. When in Baltimore, Steve’s clients included The Kiplinger Corporation Collection, The Robert and Jane Meyerhoff Collection of Contemporary Art, and The Baltimore Museum of Art.

He studied gilding and frame finishing with GoldLeaf Framemakers of Santa Fe and with Bill Keck of Julius Lowy in New York City.

Since establishing Wienert Frame Design in 1993, Steve has created frames for numerous corporate clients, galleries and museums, including The Clarke Galleries, The Pizzagalli Corporation, University of Vermont's Fleming Museum, Champlain College's LLewellyn Collection, Burton Snowboards, The J. Brooks Buxton Collection, The Orton Family Collection of The Vermont Country Store, and The Vermont Historical Society. He has also worked with hundreds of artists, collectors, and private clients throughout the country on solutions for their unique framing needs.
